Red Alt is an outlet for Owen Winkler’s web tools and provides a consolidated and organized archive of other online web development tools and resources.
There are three Web Page Construction Tools:
1. I Like Your Colors!
Use this tool to extract the colors from the HTML and CSS of any web site. Compare the colors easily using hue groups.
There is a form that lets you choose any URL you want to extract colors from. The colors you see here are from the site that referred you to this page!
2. WordPress Index Builder
This tool will ask you a series of questions about your site to generate a working WordPress template page and CSS file. Criteria include number of columns and color matching.
This tool will help you create a content page for WordPress 1.3. This page can be used as the default page for your site (index.php) or for a supplemental page that displays different content.
There are four Layout Choices as bellow:
A fixed two-column layout with the large content column on the left side.
A fixed two-column layout with the large content column on the right side.
A liquid two-column layout with the resizing content column on the right side.
A liquid two-column layout with the resizing content column on the left side.
You can choose any one and then follow the guide to configure the options for the file ‘header.php’,'index.php’,’sidebar.php’ and ‘footer.php’,and the laster step is choose a primary color as the basis for a color scheme and choose the settings that you desire for your layout. These settings will be applied to your final CSS file.
When you are finished, click the Download button to download a WordPress Theme tailored to your selections.

3. Kubrickr

Use images from Flickr to replace that big blue blob header in your WordPress 1.5 Default theme.
Kubrickr is a tool that lets you replace that giant blue blob at the top of your WordPress 1.5 blog with a nice photo from Flickr.
Simply type some words that relate to your blog and push Submit. Choose one of the photos from the that appears, and save the resulting file to your Default WordPress theme directory. It’s that easy!
